Looking for your roots in Corca Dhuibhne?

A good place to start is the Genuki web-page which explains what Church and Civil records are available for the various towns and civil parishes of Kerry.  Our current Catholic parish consists of the old civil parishes of Dingle, Ventry, Garfinny, Kildrum, Kinard and Minard.  Our records relate to Baptisms and Weddings in the Catholic churches of Dingle, Lispole and Ventry.

How can I access these records?

The parish registers which date back to the 1820s are in the custody of the Parish Priest.  For pre-1900 queries, you should visit the Irishgenealogy.ie website which allows you to search the pre-1900 church registers for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kerry – including the Parish of Dingle.

Post-1900 queries should be addressed to:

The Parish Archives,
Tigh na Sagart,
Sráid an Doirín,
Dingle,
Co Kerry,
Ireland.

Please be as specific as possible in your query.  A donation to cover the cost of administrative expenses is very welcome.
Because of the personal and confidential nature of the information held in our registers, it is not normally possible to allow access to the registers themselves.

Please note – the National Archives of Ireland have recently made the 1901 and 1911 Censuses available online to the public.  These are an invaluable source of genealogical information.
