Thought for the day: We all know from experience that hiness can be confused with all sorts of things, enjoyment, getting my own way, pleasure etc. We also all know, in our heart of hearts, that true happiness is not something that I have for myself but something that I am with others. Rather than something I possess, it is something that I am, with my values and vision. The paradox of human life is that we attain happiness not by aiming at it for ourselves but only making other people the focus of our lives and loves. In the words of St Paul: Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. (Rom 13:8). Prayer: God of our happiness, give us the wisdom that you alone can give so that we also may be wise and come to life in abundance, according to your will.

Synodal Path: Pope Francis’s Invitation & Our Response. Pope Francis has invited every member of the Church throughout the world to share their experiences, insights and hopes for the Church. Every diocese has been asked to give opportunities for reflection, discussion and feedback in preparation for the Synod of Bishops in 2023. Here in the Diocese of Kerry there is the opportunity to share your thoughts on-line or to participate in person in the next 2 months. For details see: https://www.dioceseofkerry.ie/Synod
Daily Prayer for Synodal Listening
God our Father,
Pope Francis has asked us to pray, discuss and listen, so that we might grow stronger in communion,
more aware of our mission,
and truly participate in the life of our Church.
May the Holy Spirit help us to hear His voice
during this time of listening in our Diocese.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Pope Francis – Tweet: The crisis of faith, in our lives and in our societies, has to do with the eclipse of desire for God, with the habit of being content to live from day to day, without ever asking what God really wants from us. We have forgotten to lift our eyes to heaven.

Stay with me, Lord: Prayer of St. Pio of Pietrelcina after Holy Communion
Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget You.
You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak
and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life,
and without You, I am without fervor.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light,
and without You, I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice
and follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You
very much, and always be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is,
I want it to be a place of consolation for You,
a nest of love.
Recordings of daily Mass will be available on the Parish website each day and funerals for one month. Our provider is unable to record mobile camera broadcasts.
