Trócaire Pakistan Appeal
A National Church Collection will be taken up in all Churches for the flood victims in Pakistan over the next few weeks. This collection will take place in the Diocese of Kerry on the weekend of the 28th and 29th of August. Trócaire is collaborating with Caritas International on the global church response to the situation. Trócaire has been working in Pakistan for more than 20 years and are well placed to respond quickly to this disaster and to get help quickly to where it is most needed.

The Praises of Mary, attributed to the 7th Century Abbot St Lomman, were passed down in the oral folklore of the Midlands until finally being put to paper in the 20th Century by Fr Andrew Shaw PP of Kilcormac, Co Offaly

Listen kindly to our prayers, O Lord, and as you once blessed the ark of Noah as it was borne over the flood, bless all the boats of Dingle Regatta and all who will sail in them with your holy right hand. Stretch our your hand to them, as you did to Peter when he walked upon the sea, and send your holy angel from heaven to keep the boats and all in them from every harm. Keep them safe, grant them a tranquil voyage and a safe harbour; and once their journey is done, bring them home content. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
