Paidir Naomh Chaitlín Beannaím-se dhuitse a Chaitlín ró-naofa, Fé mar a bheannaigh siadsan dhuit, Beannaím-se fé dhuit. Is chugatsa a thána ag gearán mo phéin dhuit, Ag iarraidh mé a leigheas i gcúntas Dé, Dia agus Muire agus tusa á réiteach. Amen. Christ the King Jesus answered the Roman governor’s questions by declaring that he was a king, but not of this world (cf. Jn 18: 36). He did not come to rule over peoples and territories but to set people free from the slavery of sin and to reconcile them with God. And he added: “For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice” (Jn 18: 37). […] The way to reach this goal is long and admits of no short cuts: indeed, every person must freely accept the truth of God’s love. He is Love and Truth, and neither Love nor Truth are ever imposed: they come knocking at the doors of the heart and the mind and where they can enter they bring peace and joy. This is how God reigns; this is his project of salvation, a “mystery” in the biblical sense of the word: a plan that is gradually revealed in history. Pope Benedict XVI , Angelus, 26/11/2006 Brón ar an mbás … Leagann sé úr … Upon the Death of a Child through Miscarriage or Stillbirth God, the giver of life, help this mother who knew the life of her baby within her to understand that her child’s life is complete. Grant that she and her child and her child’s father may all be reunited in your love When their own lives on earth are ended. AMEN Lord God, ever caring and gentle, we commit to your love this little one, quickened to life for so short a time, Lord, you formed this child in the womb; you have known it by name before time began. Bless these parents who are saddened by the loss of their baby. Give them courage and help them in their pain and grief. May they all meet one day in the joy and peace of your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN We ask you, loving Lord, to look with compassion on these your children who are sorrowing on the death of their child. Comfort them and all who mourn, provide for those who grieve, give them for ashes a garland, for mourning-dress the oil of gladness, for despondency, festal attire; the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair, so that they may be oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour. An Ceallúrach Mar leanaí go Limbó tugadh mo dhánta go crích clapsholais áit a bhfuil crainn gan duille le faid gach nfhaid. Taobh leis na coirp bheaga cuireadh babhlaí adhmaid d’fhonn is go n-ólfaidís bainne na bó ‘dháileann bean ar a leithéidí. Níl de leacht os a gcionn ach clocha scáile leatsa ina bpaidrín briste. Má ghabhann tú an treo, seachain mo rudaí beaga! Ar d’anam, ná bain leo i gcill an dearmaid!
