A Coronavirus Prayer
Loving and healing God,
we, the people of Dingle, Fionn Trá and
Lios Póíl turn to you in prayer,
confident that you are with us and with all people in every moment.

We stand before you as people of hope, trusting in your care and protection.
May your faithful love support us and soothe the anxiety of our hearts.

Generous God,
fill us with compassion and concern for others, young and old, that we may look after one another in these challenging days.

Bring healing to those who are sick with the virus and be with their families. May those who have died rest in your eternal embrace.
Comfort their family and friends.

Strengthen and protect all medical professionals caring for the sick and all who work in our medical facilities. Give wisdom to leaders in healthcare and governance
that they may make the right decisions for the well-being of people.

We pray in gratitude for all those in our country who will continue to work in the days ahead in so many fields of life for the sake of us all.
Bless them and keep them safe.

O God of creation and life,
we place ourselves in your protection.
May the mantle of your peace enfold us this day and tomorrow.

St ……., pray for us.
St ……., pray for us.
St ……., pray for us.

May all the saints of God, pray for us. Amen.
Priest on duty this Sunday:
Fr Eamonn Mulvihill – 086-8542556.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that you are
present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love you above
all things, and I desire to
receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into
my heart. I embrace You as if
You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated
from You. Amen.

Prayer of St Teresa of Avila
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices. Amen

A Prayer for Sustainability
As we breathe the very air which sustains us,
We remember your love, God which compels us.
Fill us with the spirit to seek understanding.
Empty us of apathy, selfishness and fear.
Fill us with compassion and generosity.
Empty us of all pessimism and hesitation.
Breathe into us solidarity with all who suffer
beneath the crossroads of pollution and poverty.
Breathe us into action building your sustainable kingdom. (Source: Reflections collated by Anne M. Holton)

First Communions 2020
Dear Parent/Guardian,
This week Bishop Ray announced that All First Communion Ceremonies have been postponed. A new date will be arranged once all the current restrictions are lifted.
God bless and keep safe.
Fr Michael.

Thought for the day
We come to Easter faith by acknowledging the hungers of the heart (“our own hope had been”), by searching the scriptures (“our hearts burning within us”), by holding on to the story of the first disciples and witness of the women, by the Eucharist (“the breaking of the bread”) and by sharing our faith (“they told their story”). Is there more? As the story starts, he stops them. Towards the end of the story, they stop him from walking out of their lives, perhaps for ever. The moment of desire leads to the moment of recognition and a life-changing encounter. Prayer: Open our ears, O Lord, to the words of Scripture, that our hearts may burn within us. Open our hearts to share with others the faith we have received, that “we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith” (Rom 1:12).
