Thought for the day: For us eternal life usually means the next life and it can sound remote and unreal. The Fourth Gospel, where the expression occurs seventeen times, can be of help. The last occurrence (17:2) teaches that eternal life is a quality of relationship which begins now in the present moment, and which is indestructible (Heb 7:16). Prayer: Lord, we struggle to believe at all, and we struggle to hold on to eternal life. Help us to hear your call in the present moment. Help to know you and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Help us to respond with full and trusting hearts, now and into the future.

Pope Francis on X: We invoke the Virgin Mary’s intercession for the city of Rome and the whole world, especially for peace. Peace is true and lasting only if it flows from repentant and forgiven hearts.

Pope’s Intentions for August: For Political Leaders. We pray that political leaders be at the service of their own people, working for integral human development and for the common good, especially caring for the poor and those who have lost their jobs.

Naoi gCéad Míle Fáilte to all who are visiting the area or at home on holidays at this time. We hope you enjoy your break!

Gluten Free hosts are available from the priest at communion time.

Priest on duty this Sunday:

Fr Eoghan Ó Cadhla 087-6951318.

Prayer to Discover Your Vocation

God our Father, send workers into your harvest. May the Spirit we received in baptism touch the hearts of many to offer themselves in priesthood, religious life and other forms of service. The Dingle Races

There is a little town in Kerry and it is pretty far away but the crowds are sure to be there on Dingle Derby Day.

The Kerry folk are magic they’re really on their own the Derby’s run in Dingle the National in Listowel.

Some people who go racing you see them everywhere there always in the Cotswolds at Beechers and the Chair.

They’re sure to be in Kerry, Killarney and Tralee and then they’re back in Dingle just after Ballinavounig.

Now the Ponies going to Dingle are the fastest of them all they come from every county Cork to Donegal.

Now just to be in Dingle on a nice fine Autumn day with all the ponies racing and the dolphin in the Bay.

There’s nowhere else I’d rather be that’s all I have to say so just goodbye to Dingle until another day.
