Advent Calendar
This Advent, you are invited to take a line of God’s Word from the Sunday reading, to pray with it on Sunday and to act out that Word daily in your own life during the following week.

2nd Sun of Advent: ‘Prepare a way for the Lord, make his paths straight.’

Dec 17th Mon: Trust that God is present in your life;
Dec 18th Tues: Open your heart today with someone you find difficult; be compassionate;
Dec 19th Wed: Delight today in the reality that our God became fully human, like us;
Dec 20th Thurs: Pray for the people of Bethlehem today….pray for their peace;
Dec 21st Fri: Share from your abundance with others – a smile, a compliment, a kindness;
Dec 22nd Sat: Pause today in the quiet darkness to remember Jesus comes for each one of us.

OUR CHRISTMAS MASSES AND CONFESSIONS
We invite all the young children to bring the Infant Jesus from your Family Crib to the 6.00pm Vigil Mass for a special blessing.
NB: If any family or their children would like to participate in the 6pm Mass on Christmas Eve e.g. Readings, Prayer of the Faithful, bringing up the gifts, etc. Please contact the Parish Office by Friday December 14th.

Christmas Crib Appeal
Míle buíochas to all who have put up the Cribs or will be putting them up in our three Parish Churches. This year your Crib donations will go to the Order of Malta Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem and to Arlington Lodge, Tralee, Kerry’s only temporary supported homeless facility. Your support for these 2 very worthy causes would be greatly appreciated.

Christmas Carol Service by St. Mary’s Choir and Dingle Gospel Choir in St. James’ Church, this Sunday December 16th at 7pm. No Admission fee, donations if desired to West Kerry Hospice.
Dingle New-Music Choir and Orchestra Christmas performances will take place on Wednesday December 19th – St. John’s Church, Ashe St., Tralee at 8.30pm; Friday December 21st – St. Mary’s Church, Dingle at 8.30pm.
Mary Immaculate College, Open Day, Saturday, January 12th, (10am – 1pm). Prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff, mingle with current MIC students and take a tour of the campus. Attendees can also find out about the range of accommodation options and student supports. For more see www.micopenday.ie.
Samaritans Annual Church gate collection will be take place on 24th/25th of December.
Parish Envelope Scheme and Calendar 2019
2019 Féilire Eaglasta and a box of envelopes for your weekly offertory contribution have now been distributed to the contact person in your area. If you haven’t received a box and would like to do so, please contact the Parish office on 066-9151208. Also included is an envelope for your Christmas Dues contribution.
Christmas Dues will be taken up as a second collection after Communion at all Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as your personal contribution to the Parish Priest. NB: If paying by cheque, please make cheque payable to Teach na Sagart for Dues and Dingle Parish for the Parish.
Spare envelopes for Christmas Dues which help make up the Parish Priest’s salary will be available at the back of the three Parish Churches.
