Thought for the day:
The multiplication of the loaves generates many levels of meaning, often deeply spiritual. At a more ordinary level, we see an anonymous boy with the bread and fish making available what little he had for the Lord to make use of them. Placing ourselves at his disposal, offering whatever gifts we have is all that is asked of each of us.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, we know that you see potential where we see limits. All we have is your gift in the first place. Help us to place ourselves and your gifts at your disposal for the service of the Kingdom.

Mass Cards are available from the Parish Office. You can ring 066-9151208 and we can arrange for you to call or the cards can be posted out to anyone who requires them.

Also, best wishes to all the other priests who are moving to new Parishes.

First ‘World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly’. Pope Francis has established a World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, which takes place for the first time this Sunday July 25th on the theme ‘I am with you always’ (Mt 28:20). He chose this Sunday in July as the Sunday nearest to the Feast Day of Saints Joachim and Anne, the parents of our Lady. We pray today that families and society will value the presence and role of grandparents and all the elderly. May they never be ignored or excluded, but always encounter respect and love.
