Masses August 2nd
The 11.30am Mass on Sunday August 2nd will be celebrated as part of Féile Lios Poil. This Mass will be broadcast on Ráidió na Gaeltacht. As places are limited at this time we ask those who would normally attend the 11.30am Mass to consider attending one of the other Parish Masses next weekend.

Mass Leaflets are available in the local shops in Dingle, Fionn Trá and Lios Póil, on our Parish Website and at the back of our 3 churches. Please drop one to the housebound.

Thought for the day: In today’s Gospel, Jesus changes his mind! How is that possible? Twice in Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus limits his ministry to the “lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matt 10:6; 15:24). In today’s story, however, a very feisty woman, clearly not a daughter of Abraham, with her urgency and her witty retort, brings Jesus to recognise the needs of those beyond the ethnic confines of the Jewish people. They are ordinary human beings too, just as much in need of the Good News of the Kingdom as anyone else. Prayer We believe and we know, O God, that you love the human race, without making any distinction of persons or rank. Inspire us to see you in everyone we meet, for all are your children and you are the father of us all.

Reflection:
On the day of the harvest the straw is set aside, the chaff is blown away by the wind, and the weeds are consigned to the flames. But the wheat, like sacks of gold, is gathered into the barn.
Lord, on the day of death, the harvest of my life will be poured out before you,
wheat and chaff and weeds together.
Let your wise hand sift through it;
then keep what is worth keeping, and with the breath of your kindness, blow the rest away.
Parish Masses: It is great to have a congregation again. The experience so far has been positive. People have been patient and observed social distancing. There are a few obvious changes in seating and movement but the primary aspect of the Church as a place of prayer remains.
Anybody who wishes to attend weekdays Masses are welcome to do so. No booking required. Just arrive and sit in an allocated space. The following applies for the weekend Masses. You are asked to phone the office at 066-9151208 to let us know what Mass you would like to attend. Please phone at the following times only: 2.00pm – 4.00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday giving your name and number of persons (if more than 1). As the numbers are limited you might not get your preference, we ask for your patience.
When you get to the Church you are asked to use the Hand Sanitizers provided and follow instructions from the stewards.
