Thought for the day: Irony and sarcasm somewhat resemble each other, with some notable differences. Sarcasm, easily enough achieved, is often wounding. On the other hand, irony, using “cognitive dissonance”, prompts insight and triggers memories. There is a good example in today’s Gospel: “if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.” Will they really? By the time of writing, Jesus himself had already risen, and still conversion was as remote as ever. With all our convictions and doctrines, what is holding us back? Prayer: God of all life, you have given us the greatest assurance of your love in raising Jesus from death. Help us to live every day from your reassuring love.

Recovery Haven Kerry: Cancer Thrive and Survive programme sa Díseart, is continuing. To book call 066-7192122.

Season of Creation 2022 continues until Oct 4th, Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. We are invited to listen to creation’s call. What is God saying to us through the Book of Nature? Spend more time, with awareness, evoking the senses, contemplating God’s love for us through creation. Can we allow nature to be a teacher, a friend, a channel of God’s love? ‘Bain do bhróga de do chosa, óir an áit ar a bhfuil tú i do sheasamh, is talamh naofa é?’ (Exodus 3:5)

Offertory Collection: €1,500.00.
