A Coronavirus Prayer
Loving and healing God,
we, the people of Dingle, Fionn Trá and
Lios Póíl turn to you in prayer,
confident that you are with us and with all people in every moment.
We stand before you as people of hope, trusting in your care and protection.
May your faithful love support us and soothe the anxiety of our hearts.
Generous God,
fill us with compassion and concern for others, young and old, that we may look after one another in these challenging days.
Bring healing to those who are sick with the virus and be with their families. May those who have died rest in your eternal embrace.
Comfort their family and friends.
Strengthen and protect all medical professionals caring for the sick and all who work in our medical facilities. Give wisdom to leaders in healthcare and governance
that they may make the right decisions for the well-being of people.
We pray in gratitude for all those in our country who will continue to work in the days ahead in so many fields of life for the sake of us all.
Bless them and keep them safe.
O God of creation and life,
we place ourselves in your protection.
May the mantle of your peace enfold us this day and tomorrow.
St ……., pray for us.
St ……., pray for us.
St ……., pray for us.
May all the saints of God, pray for us. Amen.

Stay with me, Lord – Prayer of St Pio of Pietrelcina after Holy Communion
Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget You.
You know how easily I abandon You.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak
and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life,
and without You, I am without fervor.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light,
and without You, I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You
very much, and always be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.

Parish Masses:
Great news. In accordance with the latest government announcement, it is proposed that public Masses will resume on Monday June 29th. As we resume Masses we will be mindful of, and adhere to, all public health guidelines. With the 2 meter social distancing rule in place the seating capacity of our Churches is significantly reduced. St Mary’s Church Dingle will have a reduced capacity of 100 approximately. Parishioners may have to register their interest in attending Mass either by email or by phone. Guidelines are being prepared by the Kerry Diocesan Office and we will bring them to your attention when available. In the meantime, we continue to pray for those who’s lives and livelihoods have been effected by the Coronavirus, those who have died, those who suffer, those who mourn and those who help. We continue to pray for each other.
Thought for the day Jesus himself practised open table fellowship, to express God’s unconditional love and acceptance. Before he died, he spoke words over the bread and wine, words which disclosed the meaning of his death and resurrection. When St Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the Lord’s Supper, he had to remind them that the sacrament is meant to be a communion among all who celebrate it and to have a practical affect in our lives. As Benedict XVI wrote: A Eucharist which does not pass over into the concrete practice of love is essentially fragmented (God is Love).
Prayer Lord, as gather around your table, help to recognise you in the breaking of the bread and in each other. May we live the communion we receive by practicing both service and reconciliation. Amen.
