Thought for the Day: Traditionally, we have found it easy to think of the cross as the measure of God’s love for us. Because of the focus on the cross, we find it more difficult to think of the resurrection as also the love of God, perhaps “all the more so”! The originality of the Fourth Gospel says it all: the disciple Jesus loved, the head cloth recalling Lazarus (see how much he loved him) and, not least, the great figure of Mary Magdalene (Mary!). In summary, Jesus died and rose again for love of us. Let us be loved! Prayer: Loving God, you love us more than we can imagine or take in. Help us to allow ourselves to be so loved by you, that your love may penetrate our hearts, our lives and our loves. We ask this through Jesus, who died and rose for love of us and who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.                                   Fr Kieran O’Mahony

Live Streaming: Camera will be turned on for ceremonies only. Only funerals will be recorded and will be available for 1 month. Other masses will not be recorded.

Newsletters: We would be grateful if you would take the newsletter home with you or place it on the bench at the back of the Church. Your assistance is appreciated.

Pope Leo XIV on X: Through the Paschal Mystery, the Lord shows us that the power of love transforms even the most difficult and challenging circumstances. Though suffering cannot always be avoided or eliminated, it still holds a redemptive significance that restores lost dignity and opens the door to new life.

Pope’s Intention for April: For Priests in crisis. Let us pray for priests going through moments of crisis in their vocation, that they may find the accompaniment they need and that communities may support them with understanding and prayer.

Pope Leo’s prayer to St Francis

St Francis, our brother, you who eight hundred years ago went to meet Sister Death as a man at peace, intercede for us with the Lord. In the Cross of San Damiano you recognised true peace. Teach us to seek in Christ the divine source of all reconciliation that breaks down every wall. You who, unarmed, crossed the lines of war and misunderstanding, give us the courage to build bridges where the world erects borders.

In this time plagued by conflict and division, intercede so that we may become peacemakers: unarmed and disarming witnesses of the Peace that comes from

Christ. Amen.

Alleluia!  All glory, praise and honour to You, Most Glorious Lord Jesus!  You have risen from the grave, You have conquered sin and death, You have opened the gates to Heaven!  Alleluia!  All praise and honour to You, Most Glorious Lord Jesus! Alleluia!

Happy Easter!

Is é seo an lá a rinne an Tiarna: bíodh áthas is gliondar orainn.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice.
