A Coronavirus Prayer
Loving and healing God,
we, the people of Dingle, Fionn Trá and
Lios Póíl turn to you in prayer,
confident that you are with us and with all people in every moment.

We stand before you as people of hope, trusting in your care and protection.
May your faithful love support us and soothe the anxiety of our hearts.

Generous God,
fill us with compassion and concern for others, young and old,
that we may look after one another in these challenging days.

Bring healing to those who are sick with the virus and be with their families. May those who have died rest in your eternal embrace.
Comfort their family and friends.

Strengthen and protect all medical professionals caring for the sick and all who work in our medical facilities. Give wisdom to leaders in healthcare and governance
that they may make the right decisions for the well-being of people.

We pray in gratitude for all those in our country who will continue to work in the days ahead in so many fields of life for the sake of us all.
Bless them and keep them safe.

O God of creation and life,
we place ourselves in your protection.
May the mantle of your peace enfold us this day and tomorrow.

St ……., pray for us.
St ……., pray for us.
St ……., pray for us.

May all the saints of God, pray for us. Amen.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that you are
present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love you above
all things, and I desire to
receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into
my heart. I embrace You as if
You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated
from You. Amen.

Stay with me, Lord – Prayer of St Pio of Pietrelcina after Holy Communion

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget You.
You know how easily I abandon You.

Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak
and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life,
and without You, I am without fervor.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light,
and without You, I am in darkness.

Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You
very much, and always be in Your company.

Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.

Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.
Mass Leaflets is available in the local shops in Dingle, Fionn Trá and Lios Póil and on our Parish Website. Please drop one to a neighbour or anyone cocooning.

Divine Mercy Sunday, April 19th. Prayers will be streamed on youtube from Baile an Fheirtéaraigh under the name Paróiste an Fheirtéaraigh at 3pm.

Thought for the day
How did any of us make the journey towards faith in Christ? No doubt a great part of it is simply what we received—usually from family. At some point, did I make a conscious choice? Perhaps at other times, I felt like walking away from the faith project? What kept me going? Did a more personal ownership of faith result? Perhaps I felt the intuition of John O’Donahue, “Faith is helpless attraction to the divine.” In spite of everything, in spite of myself, somehow it is part of who I am. Prayer Mysterious God, we are those who have seen and at the same time not seen. Help to look beyond the simple gifts of each day to see you the giver behind—and in—every gift. Help us embrace the grace that we may know true blessedness in believing. Fr Kieran O Mahony OSA
