Choose Life:
Prayer for the Child in the Womb
Lord Jesus, you are the source and lover of life. Reawaken in us respect for every human life.
Help us to see in each child the marvellous work of our Creator. Open our hearts to welcome every child as a unique and wonderful gift.
Guide the work of doctors, nurses and midwives. May the life of a mother and her baby in the womb be equally cherished and respected.
Help those who make our laws to uphold the uniqueness and sacredness of every human life, from the first moment of conception to natural death.
Give us wisdom and generosity to build a society that cares for all.
Together with Mary, your Mother, in whose womb you took on our human nature, Help us to choose life in every decision we take.
We ask this in the joyful hope of eternal life with you, and in the communion of the Blessed Trinity. Amen.

Guí an Phobail
1. We ask the Lord of the Harvest to give us favourable weather for all our farmers.
2. Lord, pour out your Spirit of Wisdom on these students: Help them to remain calm, to attend carefully to the questions asked, to think clearly, to remember accurately, and to express themselves well.
Grant, that they may reflect the best of the work they have done and the best of the teaching they have received. Accept their best efforts in these examinations and in the great test of life on earth. May your love be upon them, O Lord, as they place all their trust in you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN

Bliain an Chreidimh – Our Patron Saints
Laochra an Chreidimh No.46.
St. Catherine Benincasa was born in Siena on the 25th of March 1347. She was born the second last child out of 25 siblings. She is the Patron Saint of Italy, Siena, Rome and Europe and also of guards and nurses. Interested in political life, she got herself involved in the matters of Church and political problems of contemporary Europe. Even though she couldn’t write she was extremely intelligent and she taught about faith in God. Catherine of Siena died on the 29th of April 1380. Her feast occurs on the 29th of April.
I picked Catherine as my Saint’s name because she was very intelligent, determined and had clear faith in God. She had a strong personality which helped her get really far in her political career. She helps pick the right tracks in life. (Kamila – Bunscoil an Chlochair)
