Back to School 2012 – 2013
1. Go raibh dea-obair, creideamh agus cairdeas sa bhliain atá romhainn amach.
2. Ná raibh aon duine sa scoil seo uaigneach, ná ina aonar sa rang, ná raibh aon duine ag fulaingt de bharr iompar daoine eile.
3. Agus sinn ag tosú le dóchas, le guí agus le cairdeas, go raibh an Tiarna linn ag tús na bliana, i rith na bliana agus ag deireadh na bliana chun obair na bliana a thabhairt chun críche.
4. I rith na bliana seo go gcleachtaimid “An ceart a dhéanamh, buanghrá a chothú agus siúl go humhal i bhfochair Dé.”
A Thiarna, bí cheansa agus éist linn.

Tar Chugam, a Spioraid Naoimh
Tar chugam, a Spioraid Naoimh, tar chugam.
Tar chugam is cabhraigh liom chun bheith lách.
Tar chugam is cabhraigh liom chun bheith foighneach.
Tar chugam is cabhraigh liom chun bheith séimh.
Tar chugam is cabhraigh liom chun bheith grámhar.
(Máire Nuinseann)

While I was still young, before I went on my travels,
I sought wisdom openly in my prayer…
Therefore I will not be forsaken…
Draw near to me, you who are untaught and lodge in my school.
Why do you say you are lacking in these things,
And why are your souls very thirsty?
Put your neck under the yoke,
And let your souls receive instructions;
See with your eyes that I have laboured little
And found for myself much rest.
(Sirach 51:13-30)

Pope John Paul II: His love for sport never left him, in his address to the organizers and participants in the 83rd Giro d’Italia cycle race, on May 12th 2000, he said “In fact, every sport, at both the amateur and competitive level, requires basic human qualities such as rigorous preparation, continual training, awareness of one’s personal limits, fair competition, acceptance of precise rules, respect for one’s opponent and a sense of solidarity and unselfishness. Without these qualities, sport would be reduced to mere effort and to a questionable, soulless demonstration of physical strength. When sports are played and understood in the right way, they are an extraordinary expression of a person’s best inner energies and of their ability to overcome difficulties, to set goals to be reached through sacrifice, generosity and determination in facing the difficulties of competition.”
An tAthair Bernard: Aifreann Buíochais agus Slán
Our Parish Pastoral Council invites you all to Séipéal Naomh Muire on Lady Day Dingle on Saturday September 8th next for a Farewell to Fr. Bernard with Aifreann at 8.00pm, followed by Oíche Cheiliúradh in Pobalscoil Corca Dhuibhne where a presentation will be made.
We would be grateful if you could return the special envelopes to the Presbytery prior to that date, either through the Sunday collection or directly to the Presbytery. Spare envelopes are available at the back of the three Parishes Churches.
We are combining Fr. Bernard’s farewell function with our annual Parish Social Evening and are therefore extending a special invitation to all parishioners who help care for and prepare our churches and Parish properties inside and out and all who are actively involved in our wide range of Parish ministries and services.
Míle buíochas to all our generous teagmhálaí who have distributed our special appeal envelopes to your homes. Fáilte roimh cách. Bí ann gan teip.
