Thought for the day: Today we have a chance to reflect on the mystery of our own families! It really is a bit of mystery, how we mostly come out okay from this most intense and formative of experiences. We receive so much that we really want to ponder and to treasure. We can also be burdened by attitudes and traits that we might well wish we were without. Yet, through it all, we are grateful. Family is our “first love” and never really loses its importance for us. Prayer: Bless all our families. We thank you for the very gift of life itself we have through our parents and for all the other many gifts we receive from our families. We have received so much: help us to continue to give. Help us too to know what to overlook and forget, to pay attention to what can be healed and forgiven, and through it all to continue to love. Amen.

Offertory Collection: Total: €1323.00 Míle buíochas.

Annual Christmas Dues: Focal Buíochais
Fr Michael would like to thank all who have handed in their Christmas Dues Envelopes to date. There will be separate boxes for the Priest’ Dues collection at the back of the Church at the Christmas Masses. The envelopes can be handed in over the next few weeks in the weekend offertory collection or by placing them in the Building Fund Boxes at the back of the Church. Your support of your Parish Priest is greatly appreciated. NB: If paying by cheque, please make cheque payable to Teach na Sagart for Dues and Dingle Parish for Parish. Spare envelopes for Christmas Dues are available at the back of the three Parish Churches. If you have not received your envelopes, please make contact with the person that normally delivers them or the Parish office. Míle buíochas for your great generosity and support throughout the year.

Synodal Pathway – Our time to reflect, discuss and listen: As part of our Diocese’s participation in the 2023 Synod of Bishops, we will be offering opportunities for discussion and listening in the Spring.
Before that happens, you are invited to visit www.dioceseofkerry.ie/SynodQ/ to learn more about the questions that Pope Francis is asking us to reflect on.

Parish Masses: You are welcome to attend either the weekday Mass or weekend Mass as the Sunday obligation is still lifted. We give thanks to God that we can physically gather as a faith community once again. Protective measures include:
(i) You are asked to wear a face mask.
(ii) Come in good time.
(iii) We ask that you observe social distancing.
(iv) Communion can only be received in the hand at this time.
(v) hand sanitisation is advised.
(vii) You can place your offering for the offertory collection in the building fund boxes at the back of the churches as the passing of baskets is not permitted.
Your co-operation is very much appreciated.
