Easter Dues will be taken up this year as a second collection after Communion at all Masses on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday as your personal contribution for the Parish Priest. Anyone who has already handed in their Easter Dues, do not have to contribute to this collection. NB: If paying by cheque please make it payable to Teach na Sagart for the Dues and Dingle Parish for Trócaire.

Your Excellency, Archbishop Charles J. Brown, A Thiarna Easpaig, Dr. Ray Browne, Rev. Fathers and People of God at home and overseas you are all most welcome to this Easter Mass of Thanksgiving celebrating “150th Fé Bhláth” of our Parish Church of St. Mary’s. With the Old Testament writer we too give praise as we pray “I have loved the beauty of Thy house, the place where Thy glory dwells”.
Bishop David Moriarty blessed the foundation stone on lá ‘le Pádraig 1862 when Canon Daniel O’Sullivan and parishioners took the daring decision to replace the 1812 church built by Fr. James Kennedy. On Easter Sunday 1865 Bishop Moriarty blessed this magnificent House of God thanks to the generosity of many benefactors.
One hundred years later Canon Pádraig Ó Loingsigh oversaw a project of major re-ordering in line with Vatican II guidelines. Canon Diarmuid Ó Súilleabháin completed that modernisation in 1980. The history is told in “Treoraí agus Laochra an Chreidimh” our “Parish Directory and Patrons”. After Mass, we invite the Apostolic Nuncio to plant and bless a Copper Beech in the Parish Garden to commemorate the living Faith of our Parish Community. “Is Beannaithe Teach Dé”.

As we extend Céad Míle Fáilte to all our visitors, we offer sincerest buíochas ó chroí to all our generous helpers and collectors in the work of Lord. We thank all who took part our Holy Week Ceremonies and in particular to all who attentively look after our three Parish churches together with all who prepared and presented all our liturgies. Míle buíochas to the meitheal who put together our beautiful Easter Garden in St. Mary’s Church. Wishing you all a very Happy and Holy Easter.

The Easter Vigil In accordance with ancient tradition, this night is one of the Vigil for the Lord. St. Augustine called it the ‘mother of all vigils’. There are four parts to the Rite:
1. Service of Light: The new fire should be blessed to light the Paschal Candle.
2. Liturgy of the Word.
3. Liturgy of Baptism when all congregations renew their baptismal vows.
4. Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Corpus Christi 2015
Neighbourhood Station Masses
In preparation for our annual Corpus Christi procession on June 7th 2015 the neighbourhood Station Masses in town will begin with Mass for the residents of The Mall on this Thursday April 9th at 7.30pm outside Teach Caitlín. Consequently, there will be no Mass on these Thursdays in St. Mary’s Church, as these Masses are open to all parishioners in preparation for Corpus Christi Sunday June 7th.
