Advent Calendar
This Advent, you are invited to take a line of God’s Word from the Sunday reading, to pray with it on Sunday and to act out that Word daily in your own life during the following week.

1st Sun of Advent: ‘Stay awake, praying at all times’

Dec 3rd Mon: Be awake to God’s gentleness all around you today;

Dec 4th Tues: Pray for those who have forgotten how to hope;

Dec 5th Wed: Pray for the people of the Holy Land, especially those driven from their homes;

Dec 6th Thurs: Open our eyes to see your Spirit at work in our world;

Dec 7th Fri: Let your prayer be for the ones who live with sadness and loss;

Dec 8th Sat: Enrich others today from all that you have.

Parish Envelopes 2019
If there are any additional Parishioners who would like to be included in our Parish Envelopes Scheme for 2019 and who would like to receive a box of envelopes, please contact the Presbytery on 066-9151208 as soon as possible. Using the envelopes allows the Parish to claim back tax from PAYE Workers and Self-Employed who have contributed €250 or more during the year.

Parish Volunteers are invited to an evening of appreciation on Thursday Dec 6th in Benner’s Hotel, Mass at 7.30pm, followed by refreshments. Keep the night free and please inform the parish office on 066-9151208 or by text to 086-0520915 if you will be attending by Monday Dec 3rd.

St. Vincent de Paul Annual Appeal
Collections will be taken up at all Churches next weekend December 8th/9th. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Charity Christmas Concert with the Kingdom Gospel Choir will be held on Sunday, December 2nd at 5:30pm in the Friary Church, Killarney. Entry price: donation only. All donations are going to Kerry Cancer Support Group. St. Oliver’s National School Choir will also perform on the night. All are welcome.
Féile na Soilse and the official lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place on Sunday December 2nd. Parade will start from Bridge Street at 5pm. Groups are asked to assemble in Bridge Street from 4.30pm onwards.
A Celebration of Stillness for Advent: The Diocesan Choir and Martina Lehane Sheehan will lead an evening of prayer, music and song on Monday Dec 3rd in the Church of the Resurrection, Park Rd, at 8pm. All are welcome.
Light to Remember Memorial Tree: Kerry Hospice Foundation and Univ Hosp Kerry are hosting a light to remember memorial Christmas tree ceremony, Sunday 2nd December 5p.m. The Official turning on of the lights is at 5.30 p.m. Sponsor a light for €5. Contact Ursula on 087-7450126 to arrange.
Anam Cara Kerry, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Parent Evening on Tuesday 11th of December at 7:20pm in Recovery Haven, 5 Haig’s Terrace, Killierisk, Tralee.

Diocesan Collection for Kerry Diocesan Youth Service will be taken up at all masses this weekend Dec 1st and 2nd. Proceeds provide vital supports to all young people across Kerry. Thank you for your support.
