Stay with me, Lord – Prayer of St Pio of Pietrelcina after Holy Communion

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget You.
You know how easily I abandon You.

Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak
and I need Your strength,
that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life,
and without You, I am without fervor.

Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light,
and without You, I am in darkness.

Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You
very much, and always be in Your company.

Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of love.

Attending Mass Guidelines:
You are asked to follow best practice guidelines when deciding about attending Mass and if yes is the answer to any of the following then you are encouraged to please stay away from Mass for the time being.
1. If you have symptoms of cough, fever, high temperature, sore throat, runny nose, breathlessness or flu like symptoms in the last 14 days? 2. Have you been diagnosed with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 infection in the last 14 days? 3. Are you a close contact of a person who is a confirmed or suspected case of Covid-19 in the past 14 days?
4. Have you been advised by a doctor to self-isolate at this time? 5. Have you been advised by a doctor to cocoon at this time?

Thought for the day: The parable of the sower is told twice, in an original form and in a later, church interpretation. The explanation tends to dominate our reading; but it might be worthwhile allowing the original parable to “speak.” It tells of small, even careless, beginnings— the sower scatters all over the place. As we see in nature, tiny seeds have an astonishing, miraculous effect. Go back over your own experience and recall something which began modestly but which in the end grew surprisingly. The reign of God is like that— the modest beginnings of Jesus’ own preaching had tremendous effect. Prayer God of every harvest, it can be hard today to be confident about the Good News and yet we know that is you who give the growth (1 Cor 3:7).

Mass Leaflets are available in the local shops in Dingle, Fionn Trá and Lios Póil, on our Parish Website and at the back of our 3 churches. Please drop one to the housebound.

Parish Masses: We are happy to say that public Masses in our Parish resumed on Tuesday June 30th at 10.00am. It was great to have a congregation again. The experience so far has been positive. People have been patient and observed social distancing. There are a few obvious changes in seating and movement but the primary aspect of the Church as a place of prayer remains.
Anybody who wishes to attend weekdays Masses are welcome to do so. No booking required. Just arrive and sit in an allocated space. The following applies for the weekend Masses. You are asked to phone the office at 066-9151208 to let us know what Mass you would like to attend. Please phone at the following times only: 2.00pm – 4.00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday giving your name and number of persons (if more than 1). As the numbers are limited you might not get your preference, we ask for your patience.
When you get to the Church you are asked to use the Hand Sanitizers provided and follow instructions from the stewards.
For the first few weeks we will celebrate Mass in St Mary’s, Dingle only. Masses will be at the following times 6.15pm and 8.00pm on Saturdays and on Sundays at 10.00am and 11.30am. Your co-operation is very much appreciated. In line with the Government guidelines, the following will apply:
