Sometimes life shuts a door on us and on occasions slams it in our face. We’ve all had some experience of this and perhaps more often than we would have liked. But the unexpected and the unannounced can be a starting point. We have two options, walk away or try and do something about it. We may have to readjust and adapt, but we certainly can pick up the pieces in our lives again and move forward. This is the heart of the Christian message and nothing can erase this hope. What we need more and more today is the ability to cope and adapt to changing circumstances. We ask God today for strength and especially courage, to help us pick up the pieces and find another way forward.

Two priests from Kenya to minister in Kerry Diocese
Bishop Ray has accepted 2 priests, Fr Vitalis Barasa and Fr Amos Ruto from the Diocese of Kitale, Kenya to work in Kerry Diocese for 3 years. They will be based in St John’s parish, Tralee for a year of induction and familiarisation.
Fr Vitalis will arrive on the 9th July while Fr Amos will arrive in August.
We welcome them, we wish them every blessing and pray that their ministry in our diocese will bear much fruit.
