Loving God,
As a mother gives life and
nourishment to her children,
So you watch over your church.
Bless these women,
that they may be strengthened
as Christian mothers.
Let the example of their faith and
love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters
may honour them always
with a spirit of profound respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Mother’s Day Sunday 31ú Márta
We wish God’s blessing on all mothers today and thank God
for their love and care, especially to their families.
Smaoineamh
It’s easy to come back home when you’re a hero laden with trophies and glory. But the prodigal son had no trophies to show his father, no achievements with which to earn his praise , his welcome, and his love.
The biggest discovery the younger son made was that he was loved in his sins. The father never stopped loving him. It doesn’t do one much good to be loved in one’s goodness. But it is an extraordinary experience to be loved in one’s sinfulness.
Pray for Áine Begley, (nee Fitzgerald), Lugnagapall; Teddy Winters, Kanturk. Suaimhneas síoraí dá n-anamacha.
