Thought for the day: There is a story told about an elderly Cistercian, who on being asked what he believed at that point in his life replied, “I believe more and more in less and less”! It is not as paradoxical as it seems. As we go on, the core dimension of the faith should stand out for us. As Erasmus wrote, the essentials are few but essential. Prayer: God, your love is always there ahead of us, even before we are aware of it. Help us, therefore, to love you by letting you love us first. May we love you in our neighbour in need. (Fr K O’Mahony)
Pope Francis on X: We invoke Jesus, the Father, and the Virgin Mary, but we seldom speak to the Holy Spirit in prayer. Yet, it is the Holy Spirit who changes our hearts, anoints us with His presence, and helps us truly understand the reality of the Church and the mystery of God
Pope’s Intention for November – For anyone who has lost a child. We pray that all parents who mourn the loss of a son or daughter find support in their community and receive peace and consolation from the Holy Spirit.
