Thought for the day: Our overseas brothers and sisters, who know more hardship and suffering than we could ever imagine, are crying out for our solidarity. In today’s world, two thirds of our population live in Asia and only 3% are Christian. In the first week of July this year, hurricane Beryl devastated the island of Carriacou in the West Indies. The seven churches in that parish were very severely damaged and cannot be used at this time. On behalf of missionaries, and the men, women and children’s lives you continue to change because of your ongoing support of World Mission Sunday, thank you.

Pope Francis on X:  Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us make Christ the cornerstone of our lives. May we bear joyful witness to the unity and peace He gives us.

The National Vocations Office open day for men over the age of 18 who wish to explore Diocesan Priesthood, Sunday, Nov 10th, at the Pallottine College, Thurles. To register visit vocations.ie/exploring. We thank God for Fr. Sean who was ordained to the priesthood last August, and for our seminarian who has commenced his third year in formation. Please continue to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send labourers.

Priest on duty this Sunday:
