Machnamh

God be good to you in all your days,
God be kind to you in all your ways.
God give strength to you when crosses lean,
God send light to you, the clouds between.
God give peace to you in times of strife,
God bless everything that fills your life.
God send joy to you when grief is o’er,
God make way for you at Heaven’s door.

Smaoineamh

A hard heart can’t feel, can’t respond, can’t love. A hard heart can’t experience sorrow, but neither can it experience joy. A hard heart is a closed heart, so it can’t receive. A hard heart is a barren heart.
A soft heart, on the other hand, is a blessing. True, it makes one vulnerable; the soft hearted are easily hurt But a soft heart can also be touched, moved and warmed. It can receive. It can be saddened but it can also be happy. It can respond. It can burst into life like a garden in springtime.
Pray for: Eileen Garvey, (nee Murphy), Woodville; Eileen Keane, (nee Galvin), Deerpark; Morgan Ó Flatharta, Pittsburg, USA and late of Cathair Boilig. Suaimhneas síoraí dá n-anamacha.
