Machnamh

We bless you Lord for our calling
for nurturing in each of us a disciple’s heart
a heart that rejoices in your coming
a heart sustained by your Spirit
a heart encouraged by fellow disciples.
May they grow in each of our hearts
the disciple’s commitment to serve
the disciple’s willingness to learn
and the disciple’s joy in becoming
a medium of your grace.

Smaoineamh
How does one arrive at this happy state? It cannot be achieved overnight. It has to be learned by long practice. It is not achieved by a few great deeds but by a lot of little ones. The real reward for a good deed is that it makes the next good deed easier. Every little action of the common day makes or unmakes character.
Pray for Bríd Uí Ghairbhí, (Nee Manning), Baile an Chóta; Seán McKenna, Wexford and late of Leataoibh; Joe Rooney, Cluais and late of Galway.
Suaimhneas síoraí dá n-anamacha.
