Machnamh / Reflection

Life is but a stopping place,
a pause in what’s to be,
a resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay…
Our destination is a place,
far greater than we know.

For some the journey is quick,
for others it is slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
we hope to claim a great reward,
and find an everlasting peace,
together with the lord.

Just a Thought / Smaoineamh

When we look at Jesus what do we see? There is no throne, no crown, no palace, no army. We see him walking the dusty roads of Palestine with a little band of disciples. He is surrounded by the poor and the sick, by sinners and outcasts. And yet the title ‘king’ is appropriate, and stands for something true and real in Jesus.
