Jakie imię wybieram na Bierzmowanie?
Sakrament Bierzmowania jest zatem kluczowym w rozwoju Katolika. Na tym etapie jest on już dość dojrzały umysłowo by być w pełni świadomym swoich decyzji. Podczas tego sakramentu, młody Katolik przyjmuje na siebie ducha świętego oraz otrzymuje patrona.
Sakrament ten ma na celu również umocnienie w nim wiary by był w stanie o niej świadczyć i jej bronić. Moi rodzice tak jak i ich są wiary Katolickiej. Zatem nie trudnym jest zgadnąć jakiego wyznania jestem ja. Oczywiście jest to wyznanie Katolickie. Krótko po narodzinach zostałem ochrzczony, a potem zaprowadzony do Komunii. Teraz natomiast stoję przed Bierzmowaniem. Od dłuższego już czasu byłem pytany, jakie chciałbym otrzymać imię na Bierzmowanie. Innymi słowy jak się później przekonałem, jakiego chciał bym przyjąć Patrona na Bierzmowaniu.
Będąc dzieckiem odpowiadałem Piotr. Podobał mi się to imię. Na religii słyszałem o Szymonie Piotrze i w zerówce miałem kolegę o tym imieniu. Dziś jednak odpowiadam Paweł. Św. Paweł był faryzeuszem urodzonym w Tarsie w Cylicji w pierwszych latach naszej ery. Prześladował chrześcian aż do wydarzenia na drodze do Damaszku, w którym doznał objawienia. Odbył trzy podróże misyjne. W czasie pierwszej odwiedził Cypr i środkową część Azji Mniejszej. Podczas drugiej działał na terenie Azji Mniejszej, Macedonii i Grecji zaś podczas trzeciej głównie w Efez. Wywarł wielki wpływ na wczesnochrześcijańską doktrynę, będąc zwolennikiem rozszerzenia misji na pogan, niezależnie od ich pochodzenia czy stanu. Nazywano go Apostołem Narodów (Apostołem Pogan). Napisał 13 listów zawartch w Nowym Testamencie. Zmarł około roku sześćdziesiątego piątego. Zawsze oddawał się w pełni temu co robił – na końcu znajdując właściwą drogę – wiarę, nadzieję i miłość, i dlatego to właśnie jego wybrałem na swego patrona. Był myślicielem który w swoich pozostawionych pismach najpiękniej zdefiniował nam czym jest miłość. Mógł by być to patron znajdowania drogi, drogi do Boga. The Way of the Cross
9. Jesus Falls the Third Time – His final fall reflects the frailty of Christ’s human nature. Yet, He went on. We often have proof of our weakness, too. Yet, we show fidelity to God by going on in spite of our infirmity.
“They leave me lying in the dust of death.” Ps 22:15.
10. Jesus is Stripped of His Clothing – Our Lord’s clothing was taken away. So in spirit must we also separate ourselves from our material possessions. Eventually, we must part with them. Be generous always with the gifts God gives you for a time.
“They shared out his garments by casting lots.” Mt. 27:35.
11. Jesus is Nailed to the Cross – Fastened hand and foot, moving only with pain, how humiliating to be nailed at last to your cross! Our Lord cries out to our Father, “My God, my God, why have you deserted me?” Mt 27:46. “They crucified him there and the two criminals also.” Lk 23:33.
12. Christ Dies on the Cross – All of us must someday die. With God’s help we will meet death as Jesus did. Final bodily defeat is turned by God into our first triumph. Having died with Christ we will rise and reign with Him. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” LK. 23:46.
13. Jesus is Taken down from the Cross – Christ’s death is ultimate proof of His humanity. Unless He was human, He could not have died. Unless He was also God, His death could not save us. “Ours were the sufferings He bore.” Now we must be dead to sin. “Now let God rescue him if he wants him.” Mt. 27:43.
14. Jesus is Laid in the Tomb – We see Christ’s body laid to rest, but no grave can hold the Lord of the Universe. He rises again to new life with God living always to intercede for us while we continue His work here on earth. “He then rolled a large stone across the entrance of the tomb.” Mt. 27:60

Passion Sunday (Palm Sunday) Holy Week begins on this Sunday with the commemoration of the entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem. The palms are blessed and should be taken home, where they will serve as a reminder of the victory of Christ. Next year, they will be burned and placed on our foreheads on Ash Wednesday.
Mass of Chrism This Mass, which the Bishop concelebrates with his college of priests and at which he consecrates the holy oils use in the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Ordination and Anointing of the sick during the next year.
Spy Wednesday when visiting Priests will hear confessions in Lios Póil at 7pm and St. Mary’s at 7:30pm.
The Easter Triduum The Fathers of the Church saw this celebration as a unitive commemoration: St Augustine spoke of ‘the most holy triduum of the crucified, buried & risen Lord’.
Holy Thursday This Mass is, first of all, the memorial of the institution of the Eucharist. The tradition of washing the feet should be maintained. The Altar of Repose for the reservation of the Blessed Sacrament that will be distributed in Communion on Good Friday, should be prepared and adorned in such a way as to be conductive to prayer and meditation. The faithful are encouraged to spend some time at the Altar of Repose during the night before the Blessed Sacrament.
Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion. On this day when ‘Christ our passover was sacrificed’ (1 Cor 5:7), the Church meditates on the Passion of her Lord, venerates the Cross, commemorates her origin from the side of Christ on the Cross, and intercedes for the salvation of the whole world. On this day, in accordance with ancient tradition, the Church does not celebrate Eucharist; Holy Communion is distributed to the faithful during the celebration of the Lord’s Passion. Devotions, such as the Way of the Cross are encouraged today.
The Easter Vigil In accordance with ancient tradition, this night is one of the vigil for the Lord. St. Augustine called it the ‘mother of all vigils’. There are four parts to the Rite: 1. Service of Light: The new fire should be blessed to light the Paschal Candle. 2. Liturgy of the Word 3. Liturgy of Baptism when all congregations renew their baptismal vows in this Year of Priest. 4. Liturgy of the Eucharist. ‘Christ is Risen, Alleluia!’
