Dingle Parish Annual Retreat
Dingle Parish Annual Retreat will be held in the Ardfert Retreat Centre on February 22nd. Journeying in Hope – Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will be the guest speaker in St. John’s Church, Tralee at an Evening of Prayer and Reflection, on Tuesday February 24th from 7.30-8.30pm. Archbishop Martin will speak on “The Church in Ireland – Signs of Hope, New Challenges.”

Trócaire and Dues Envelopes 2015
The Spring and Easter Dues Envelopes and Trócaire Boxes are being distributed to each house in the Parish. Buíochas to the Teagmhálaí who distribute them on behalf of the Parish. Spare envelopes and Trócaire Boxes are available at the back of the three Parish Churches.
This year’s Trócaire’s appeal is focused on Ethiopia. We are asked to help communities like 13 year old Mahlet’s to overcome drought and hunger.
“The Church is likewise conscious of the responsibility which all of us have for our world, for the whole of creation, which we must love and protect.” Pope Francis. Trócaire invites you to be in solidarity with this community this Lent. NB: If paying by cheque please make it payable to Teach na Sagart for the Dues and Dingle Parish for Trócaire.

Our Pledge – Temperance – Lent
Bishop Eamon Walsh of Dublin promoting moderation on last Friday’s “Morning Ireland” said “I am not a killjoy”. He gave high praise to the two Kanturk students who took 1st prize in this year’s Young Scientist of the Year with their acclaimed study into how parents’ drinking habits can often adversely influence and affect their own children. Bishop Liam Ó Murchú will be chief celebrant of our Jubilee 150 Aifreann Dé in Séipéal Chaitlíona, Fionn Trá on this coming Monday February 16th at 7:30pm when we invite all this year’s Confirmation candidates to take their Pledge. Keynote guest speaker will be Míchéal Ó Muircheartaigh who is travelling from Co. Meath to share his faith with us on the occasion. All of you are most welcome to participate in this opening liturgy of our “150 fé Bhláth” clár.
N.B.: All Confirmation candidates and their parents are asked to occupy the front seats please. Customary Pioneer invitation and application forms will be presented on the night.

Pour out your blessings on this engaged couple. In your providence you have brought them together. Help them to prepare well for their marriage. Bring them closer to each other in respect and trust.
