Seachtain na Scoileanna Caitliceacha

Is sa Scoil Chaitliceach …

  • A bhíonn ministreacht agus misean Chríost go smior inti.
  • A thógtar timpeallacht chomhbhách ina mbíonn cásmhaireacht atá fréamhaithe sa teagasc sóisialta Caitliceach ann, don uile dhuine.
  • A thógtar timpeallacht shlán shona, áit ina mbíonn spreagadh ann don uile pháiste agus go gcuirtear ar a gcumas forbairt iomlán a dhéanamh ar an gcumas atá iontu mar dhaoine daonna uathúil, daoine a cruthaíodh ar dheilbh Dé.
  • A lorgaítear ard chaighdeán oideachasúil agus an scoil bheith dílis go fóill don fhís agus don mhodh oibre faoi leith a bhaineann leis.
  • A bhíonn comhluadar uile ghabhálach measúil a chuireann fáilte roimh an uile dhuine óg, is cuma an mbaineann siad le haicme chreidimh nó nach mbaineann.
  • A thugtar aitheantas don ról atá ag na tuismitheoirí mar chéad oidí maidir le cúrsaí creidimh agus cuirtear deiseanna ar fáil dóibh bheith páirteach i saol na scoile.
  • A chuirtear chuige i gcomhar leis na tuismitheoirí agus le pobal an pharóiste chun lóchrann an dóchais a adhaint.
  • A chuirtear clár theagasc creidimh ar fáil a dhearbhaíonn agus a dhoimhníonn an tuiscint a bhíonn ag na páistí maidir leis an gcreideamh Caitliceach ionas go mbeidh ar chumas an uile dhuine acu bheith chomh deisbhéalach faoin gcreideamh agus a bhíonn maidir le gnéithe eile an churaclaim.
  • A chothaítear an tuiscint agus an meas a bhíonn ag an dalta ar shaol sacraimintiúil na hEaglaise.
  • A chuirtear na siombailí a bhaineann lenár dtraidisiún saibhir Caitliceach ar taispeáint.
  • A chaitear am mar chomhluadar scoile ann, ag machnamh, ag urnaí, i ndeasghnátha, ag ceiliúradh na hEocairiste agus na sacraimintí eile, chun forbairt a dhéanamh ar shaol spioradálta an uile dhuine i bpobal na scoile.

“Thug téama Sheachtain na Scoileanna Caitliceacha le fios dúinn gur gá go mbeadh gach aon phobal scoile fréamhaithe in Íosa Críost. Iarr an Pápa Beinidict ar an aos óg …

‘Bíodh gaol pearsanta á lorg agaibh leis, taobh istigh de chomaoin na hEaglaise, mar nach ndéanfaidh sé feall riamh ar an muinín a bhíonn agaibh as. Is eisean amháin a shásóidh na mianta doimhne atá ionaibh agus a thabharfaidh brí iomlán don saol trína dhíriú i dtreo freastal a dhéanamh ar dhaoine eile.

Tá seanfhocal na Gaeilge ann a deir gurb í an Bhealtaine fhuar ghaofar a líonann an scioból le tuí is le harbhar.  Cuirtear na síolta san Earrach. De réir a phéacann gas agus bun aníos tríd an talamh nochtar don aimsir iad. Má thagann síon is báisteach anuas orthu i rith na Bealtaine tugtar bualadh is bascadh don fhás úr seo, ach is iad na fréamhacha faoi thalamh a láidríonn iad féin, go díreach toisc nach bhfuil tosca fabhracha os cionn na talún. Is é an tarraingt is an suaitheadh seo a chinntíonn gur féidir nó nach féidir leis an mbeatha óg maireachtáil go dáiríre sa saol seo.” An tÁthair M. Drumm D.D. Cathaoirleach Comhpháirtíocht na Scoileanna Caitliceacha.

Ó lá ‘le Bríde amach: Bíonn na h-éin ag déanamh a nead,

Bíonn na caoire ag breith a n-uan, Is bíonn na laethanta ag dul i bhfaid. (Ó SN Chill Mhic a’ Domh)

NB: Ár gcroí bhuíochas dos na daltaí scoile agus na múinteoirí a bhí lán-pháirteach san ceiliúradh seo ‘sna scoileanna agus inár bParóiste féinig. Anois teacht an Earraigh …

RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the official process by which adults are received into the Church. We hope to offer this process in the parish for adults wishing to be received into our Church in the near future. The RCIA as it is often called operates out of a number of key ideas or principles.

  • The responsibility of receiving Adults into our Church lies with the whole community and not just the priest.
  • The firm belief that God is already at work in the lives of all people
  • We never ‘give God’ to anyone – we help individuals to discover more deeply the God already present in their lives.
  • The process always respects and celebrates each individuals journey even if that journey does not lead to active membership within the Church.
  • There is no sense of failure for those who discover that the Church is not for them.
  • The process takes place on a ‘step by step’ basis – each step celebrated liturgically.
  • The process involves listening with respect to our own Stories in the light of the Scriptures, Church Teaching, Prayer and becoming part of a living faith community.

It is an exciting and enriching process for all involved in the reflection and for the whole community. May it be to us as a blessing.

NB: As we hope to soon offer this programme in the Corca Dhuibhne Pastoral Area you are invited to take note of this and perhaps mention it to any person whom you think may have a special interest. Further information in forthcoming Newsletters.
