During the year, the parish made deposits of €35,000 to the Kerry Parochial Trust to provide for future income and capital expenditure. Note A: Income Item 7 and Expenditure Item 18 cancel each other out almost exactly because these figures represent the second collections taken up at various times during the year. These monies are sent on to the Diocese for distribution. The discrepancy of €393 consists of money for Trócaire in 2008 and returned to the Diocese in 2009. Note B: This ‘other income’ is primarily money received Allianz due to insurance claims made in previous years. Note C: This tax rebate is made possible by those PAYE households who made use of their envelopes and who returned the ‘taxback’ form last year. We sincerely thank all of you who signed up to this appeal and ask all householders who verifiably contribute €250 or more to our Parish to consider doing likewise in our 2010 campaign. Note D: The Rathmore Fund provides for the welfare of the Sick and Retired Priests of the Kerry Diocese. We invite all of you who are supporting this Diocesan Fund by Direct Debit to kindly inform Teach na Sagart so that your gift to the Diocese may be included in Dingle Parish taxback campaign as in Note C above. An Fhéile Phan Cheilteach 2010 EXSULTET The Pan Celtic Festival is a celebration of Celtic culture that first took place in Killarney in the mid 1950’s and since then has been held in different venues bringing together music, song, story, dancing and food from Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, the Isle of Man and Brittany. Contact Oifig na Féile/Pan Celtic Office in Main Street for further details on 066-9150433. Aifreann na Féile as Gaeilge: Our 11.30am Mass of Sunday next April 11th will be as Gaeilge. Our 9am Mass will be in English on this occasion. To all our visitors we say Croeso, Degemer Mat, Dynnargh, Fáilte, Failt Ort, Naoí gCéad Míle Fáilte. This is the night when the pillar of fire destroyed the darkness of sin! This is the night when Christians everywhere, washed clean of sin and freed from all defilement, are restored to grace and grow together in holiness. This is the night when Jesus Christ broke the chains of death and rose triumphant from the grave. The power of this holy night dispels all evil, washes guilt away, restores lost innocence, brings mourners joy; it casts out hatred, brings us peace, and humbles earthly pride. Night truly blessed when heaven is wedded to earth and humanity reconciled with God! Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
