“Watch and Pray.”

Paróiste Fionn Trá.

Suite fé Shliabh an Lolair,

Ag dearcadh ‘mach ar an gCuan,

Tá paróiste mo shean is mo shinnsear

Atá sa reilig anois ina suan.

Is ann a tógadh is a hoileadh mé

Is beidh im’ chroí go bráth

Cuimhní breá‘tha, deasa, buanna

Ar mo pharóiste féin – Fionn Trá.

Bhí aithne ‘gam ar na cómharsain

Ó Fán go Coum a’ Liaig

Cathair a’ Treanntaigh, Baile n’ Chóta

Gan trácht ar Bhaile tSlé.

Cathair Boilig, Ard a’Bhóthair

Agus suas fé Chíll a’ Ruith

Agus cómharsain Chíllmhicadomhnaigh,

Ní fhaca a sárú ó shin.

Dómhsa anois is uaigneach,

An turas a thugaim ort,

Tá cairde m’óige imithe

Cuid acu thall thar s’rúth,

An spórt, an scléip, an caidreamh

A bhíodh againne tráth

Agus sinne óg agus aerach,

Im Pharóiste féin – Fionn Trá.

Congress Hymn – Though We Are Many

Though we are many, we are one body,

we who come to share this living bread;

Cup of salvation, shared among all nations,

nourishing us now and evermore.

We gather in this place, round the table of the Lord.

Christ’s presence is revealed,

in our communion and his living Word. (Refrain)

Now our communion recalls,

Christ’s death and resurrection.

This living sacrifice is our salvation now and evermore. (Refrain)

And through this shared Eucharist, we are the living Church. We witness to Christ’s Love, his living body active in our world. (Refrain)

This bread unites the baptised, who are called to this great feast. The feast a sign of God’s love, a great communion with the saints above. (Refrain)

And when we leave here today with hearts renewed in joy, so nourished we will embrace, the challenge now to live the Christian call. (Refrain)

As Patrick prophet of old trod the path we tread today, so we proclaim the Good News and share the living message with joy. (Refrain)

Feast of Christ the King – Sunday Nov 20th

Lord, we pray for all people – that as the Eucharistic Congress Bell rings out throughout our diocese, we may hear You call us to live lives of faith, hope and love.  Lord, hear us.
