Parish Envelope Scheme and Calendar 2012
We thank all those who delivered the Féilire Eaglasta 2012 and the box of envelopes and the envelope for your Christmas Dues contribution.
Tax can also be claimed back by the Parish for each PAYE taxpayer who contributes over €250 per year. We invite households who do not use their box of envelopes to consider doing so this year. Any parishioner who has not received a box and who would like to, can contact the Parish Office on 9151208 to register. A full account of both income and expenditure will be published later in the New Year.
Spare envelopes for Christmas Dues which help make up the clergy’s salaries are available at the back of the three Parish Churches as are spare 2012 calendars.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (The RCIA)

Lecture – Gospel of Mark
The Gospel of Mark: Fr. Michael Mullins, will lecture on the Gospel of St. Mark in Our Lady and St. Brendan’s Pastoral Centre, Tralee on Saturday, 14th January 2012 11.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. He has taught at Maynooth College until recently and has published books on the Gospels in recent years. Everyone is welcome to the lecture and refreshments will be served. Fr. Michael is returning at the invitation of the Diocesan Bible Ministry Committee.
Archbishop Charles Brown –
New Papal Nuncio
We pray for Archbishop Charles Brown who was ordained Archbishop of Aquileia by Pope Benedict XVI on the Feast of the Epiphany in St Peter’s Basilica. Archbishop Brown was nominated Papal Nuncio to Ireland in November and will shortly be taking up his duties as the Pope’s representative to the Irish Church and to the Irish State. Of Irish-American stock, Archbishop Brown was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of New York in 1989, and following time spent in parish ministry in the Bronx, has worked in Rome since 1994. We ask the Lord to bless his ministry among us during these challenging times.
