Machnamh / Reflection

Lord of our heart,
give us vision to inspire us.
Lord of our heart,
give us wisdom to direct us.
Lord of our heart,
give us courage to strengthen us.
Lord of our heart,
give us trust to console us.
Lord of our heart,
give us love to mission us.
Lord of our heart,
give us grace to root our lives in You.

Smaoineamh

God calls us in many ways and at many different levels. He calls us into life. Throughout our lives God continues to call us to a life worthy of our dignity as his children. At death God will call us from this life into eternal life. God’s call can take many forms, and be fulfilled in different ways. It is not likely to be as dramatic as was the call of Samuel, or as that of the first apostles. Yet God speaks to us in the depths of our heart, calling us to intimacy with himself, and to be his co-workers in the world.

Pray for Lelia Breen, (nee Smyth), Fairfield and Rathfarnham, Dublin.
