Thought for the day: Sometimes the simpler, the deeper and the deeper, the simpler. John’s Gospel illustrates this: using no technical or esoteric vocabulary, the writer nevertheless manages to hold before us God, the beyond in the midst, in the happy phrase of Bonhoeffer. In some senses, the deepest reality is also the simplest. Love is our origin. Love is our constant calling. Love is our fulfilment in heaven. None of the mystery is lost and yet none of the love is missed. The writer orientates us towards the Mystery, lost in wonder love and praise. Prayer: God, help us recognise you, the divine beyond in the midst of the everyday reality. Spirit, inspire in us to see the God of love in everyone and everything. Jesus, be with us always to the end of the age. To you be the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Pope’s Intention for June: That the world may grow in compassion: Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.
Pope Leo XIV on X: The more we let ourselves be convinced and transformed by the Gospel — allowing the power of the Spirit to purify our heart, to make our words straightforward, our desires honest and clear, and our actions generous — the more capable we are of proclaiming its message.

Prayer to Discover Your Vocation
God our Father, send workers into your harvest. May the Spirit we received in baptism touch the hearts of many to offer themselves in priesthood, religious life and other forms of service. LORD, as I prepare to sit my exams

and be with me. Thank you for the many talents and gifts you have given me
and for the opportunity of education.
Keep me calm. Help me to do the best I can on the day of my exam. Help me to remember all that I have studied, to express it clearly and to answer the questions as best that I can. Give me peace, understanding
and wisdom and be with me today
and always. Amen
