All of us are called to conversion, because conversion is a necessary disposition for entry into the Kingdom. But the conversion which above all Jesus sought to bring about in people was a change of heart. And he succeeded in bringing it about in the most unlikely of people. Many sinners heeded his call to conversion of heart, changed their lives, and made their way into the Kingdom. Others resisted his call to conversion of heart, and refused to change their lives. We need the Lord to touch our hearts with his love and compassion.
