Thought for the day: “What then should we do?” is both obvious and pertinent. In the maelstrom of life, it is good to stand back and discern what is being asked of me in the many contexts of life: family member, spouse, parent, disciple, leader, pastor, evangeliser and so forth. In these different roles, how should I be, what should I do so as to enable others too to fulfil their own callings, as family member, spouse etc. As in the teaching of John the Baptism, our responses are authentic only if they are practical, down-to-earth and real. Prayer: Help me, Lord, to recognise in the everyday what you desire of me. Help me to see what are the practical steps I can take from today onwards so as to be a better disciple of your son, Jesus, the coming one, whom John proclaims today to all who would listen.

Offertory Collection: Total: €1,643.00. Kerry Diocesan Youth Services Collection: €250. Míle buíochas.

Parish Envelopes 2022: If there are any Parishioners who would like to receive Parish Envelopes for 2022, please contact the Presbytery on 066-9151208 as soon as possible. Using the envelopes allows the Parish to claim back tax from PAYE Workers and Self-Employed who have contributed €250 or more during the year. Buíochas ó chroí for your great support and generosity.

We would be most grateful if the people that received the taxback letters recently could return the enduring certificate as soon as possible in the stamped addressed envelope. Fill in your PPS number and sign the cert. By completing the cert you allow the Parish to claim back the tax without any cost to you. Many thanks for your generosity.

2022 Parish Envelopes, Calendar and Christmas Dues Envelopes will be distributed to households for your weekly offertory contribution and Christmas Dues contribution in the coming week. There will be a separate box for Christmas Dues at the back of our 3 Parishes Churches at the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses for your personal contribution to the Parish Priest. Envelopes can also be placed in the Building Fund Boxes at the back of the 3 churches. NB: If paying by cheque, please make cheque payable to Teach na Sagart for Dues and Dingle Parish for Parish. Míle buíochas for your continued support of the Parish and its Priest.

Synodal Pathway – Our time to reflect, discuss and listen: As part of our Diocese’s participation in the 2023 Synod of Bishops, we will be offering opportunities for discussion and listening in the Spring.
Before that happens, you are invited to visit www.dioceseofkerry.ie/SynodQ/ to learn more about the questions that Pope Francis is asking us to reflect on.
Kerry Diocesan Covid Support Team: Due to the increase in the numbers of people becoming infected with Covid-19, please follow the public health advice and reduce your social contacts. The public health advice is to get vaccinated as vaccination offers the best protection for you, your family and for others against severe disease. Vaccination will reduce the number of people requiring hospitalization and will free up ICU beds for use in our hospitals.

Parish Masses: If you are considering returning to Mass, now is a good time. You are welcome to attend either the weekday Mass or weekend Mass as the Sunday obligation is still lifted. We give thanks to God that we can physically gather as a faith community once again. Please join us. It would be great to see you back. Protective measures include:
(i) You are asked to wear a face mask.
(ii) Come in good time.
(iii) We ask that you observe social distancing.
(iv) Communion can only be received in the hand at this time.
(v) hand sanitisation is advised.
(vii) You can place your offering for the offertory collection in the building fund boxes at the back of the churches as the passing of baskets is not permitted.
Your co-operation is very much appreciated.

Pope Francis on Twitter: In this Season of Advent, let us ask the Lord, through the fatherly intercession of Saint Joseph, to remain always like sentinels in the night, attentive to see the light of Christ in our poorest brothers and sisters.

Christmas Cards, packs of 6 (€5) or 12 (€10), available at the back of the Church and from the Parish Office. Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards and Mass Cards are available from the Parish Office. Ring 066-9151208.
